Choose Justice Bible Study Circle: CHOOSE JUSTICE Scripture Study Group: Acts 2:1-21

Seekers and freedom fighters of all faiths and life backgrounds are invited to participate in this experimental weekly scripture study group.

The final session of our CHOOSE JUSTICE Scripture Study Group will take place on June 3 / June 4, 2025! This session will be facilitated by Nicholas Johnson, President and Board Chair of the Center and Library for the Bible and Social Justice. Our scripture selection will be Acts Acts 2:1-21, which is one of the lectionary texts for the Day of Pentecost.

As we are moving quickly into a time of challenges both known and unknown, we need both biblical guidance and supportive community. Toward this end, seekers and freedom fighters of all faiths and life backgrounds are invited to participate in this experimental weekly scripture study group, which will run from Easter through Pentecost.

We gather online on Tuesdays at 7:30pm Eastern US Time — which is Wednesday 7:30am Philippines Time — starting April 22nd / 23rd and going through June 3rd / 4th. Each session will be a participatory, cooperative learning experiment in which we forge understanding together. We will engage with scriptures from the Revised Common Lectionary, as well as other scriptures as the Spirit moves.

This pilot project is co-produced by CLBSJ, the Alternative Seminary, the Garret Collective, and other friends and conspirators.
